Description Ryan Richter 2006-12-09 22:04:35 UTC
Most recent kernel where this bug did *NOT* occur: None
Distribution: Debian Sarge
Hardware Environment: AMD64
Software Environment: X.org 6.9.0
Problem Description:

A video lockup occurs when using OpenGL clients, most often when more than one
is running. The X server spins doing

ioctl(5, 0x6444, 0)

where fd 5 is /dev/dri/card0. This bug has been around for a couple years at
least, and has been widely reported before. I'm submitting a bug here per
akpm's request.

Steps to reproduce:

Run GL clients on DRI-enabled r200 card, wait.

If this still happens with recent releases of X.org and Mesa, it might be better
reporting a bug against Mesa at http://bugs.freedesktop.org with at least full X
config file, X log file and kernel output.

Any update on this problem?
Ryan, have you tried recent kernel and Xorg lately?
Thanks.
