Most recent kernel where this bug did *NOT* occur: None Distribution: Debian Sarge Hardware Environment: AMD64 Software Environment: X.org 6.9.0 Problem Description: A video lockup occurs when using OpenGL clients, most often when more than one is running. The X server spins doing ioctl(5, 0x6444, 0) where fd 5 is /dev/dri/card0. This bug has been around for a couple years at least, and has been widely reported before. I'm submitting a bug here per akpm's request. Steps to reproduce: Run GL clients on DRI-enabled r200 card, wait.
If this still happens with recent releases of X.org and Mesa, it might be better reporting a bug against Mesa at http://bugs.freedesktop.org with at least full X config file, X log file and kernel output.
Any update on this problem? Ryan, have you tried recent kernel and Xorg lately? Thanks.
Closing the bug for no activity. Please reopen if confirmed with latest kernel/Xorg.
