Description Andy Shevchenko 2006-11-24 02:22:06 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core 5 / RHEL 4AS U4
Hardware Environment: ASUS P5B-VM (Socket 775)
Problem Description:
No on-board controllers is shown and supported.

The 0x2825 ID is kind of the ICH8 ahci.
With addition this ID to the AHCI the HDDs are shown as simple IDE but no good
supported. This modification of the ICH8 controller needs to be tested.

0x2825 is device ID for the secondary SATA controller which serves two out of
six ports when the controller is in IDE mode. 2.6.19-rc6 already has the PCI
ID. Please test it.
