Description Benoit PAPILLAULT 2006-10-26 13:46:28 UTC
Most recent kernel where this bug did not occur: 2.6.18
Distribution: Debian
Hardware Environment: amd64/ppc
Software Environment: GNOME
Problem Description: zd1211rw does not support ipv6 autoconfiguration process

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have a server on the network running radvd (autoconfiguration server for ipv6)
2. Brought a wireless interface up (connecting to an SSID)
3. Few minutes later, no IPv6 address is assigned (but DHCP works for IPv4)

The same works with the zd1211 driver svn revision 83 (from http://zd1211.ath.cx).
Comment 1 Ulrich Kunitz 2006-11-27 14:23:33 UTC
This bug depends on the missing multicast support (bug #7424).

I will assing it to me.
Comment 2 Ulrich Kunitz 2006-11-27 14:25:34 UTC
As Benoit confirmed today, the patch fixing #7424 is fixing this bug.

So this bug can be closed.
