Distribution:Ubuntu + mainline kernel Hardware Environment:Intel P4 HT, 4 Gb, ICH7 945G chipset, 2xSeagate ST3250824NS Software Environment: 2.6.17.13 SMP, MdAdm 1.12 , SCSI emulation for SATA Problem Description: RAID 1 disks, about once out of each ten times, BIOS detects both hard disks, but linux sata reports no device for 2nd port.
