Description Bojan Smojver 2013-10-13 23:27:08 UTC
See downstream bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1015558

It seems that changes to BusLogic driver in 3.11 may have caused this problem.

An interesting link, including a patch, is here:

http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-scsi/msg69044.html

AFAICT, it has not been merged into mainline or stable yet.

PS. Note that I am not in a very good position to test, bisect etc., because I do not control the VMware installation, only the Fedora guest OS. However, there are folks in the downstream bug that can test.

That patch fixes commit 839cb99e8f748391059d10388c8aea48a88c142c, which seem to have introduced the problem.

BTW, as tested in the downstream bug, the patch from the link is the fix.
