Description Luigi Pansini 2006-01-08 08:53:26 UTC
Most recent kernel where this bug did not occur: 2.6.14.4
Distribution: debian (vanilla kernel)
Hardware Environment: soundblaster live!
Software Environment:
Problem Description: the alsa modules load correctly, the /dev/dsp device
exists, the mixer is set at the max volume (pcm and master) but the speakers
doesn't give me any sound! In 2.6.14.4 and back releases the driver worked
always good.

Steps to reproduce: load 2.6.15 alsa emu10k1 drivers on soundblaster live!

This bug report is much too vague to be actionable.

Anyway, please test 2.6.16-rc1. If it's still broken, use ALSA CVS to do a
binary search for the commit that broke it.

I'm assuming this issue is already fixed.

Please reopen this bug if it's still resent in kernel 2.6.16.5.
