Details

Description Wolfgang Schnitker 2006-01-05 02:02:30 UTC
Most recent kernel where this bug did not occur:
Distribution: Debian Sarge with Backports.org linux-image-2.6.14-2-i686-smp
Hardware Environment: Epox EP-D3VA Dual P3, IDE, ViA KT133A Chipset
Software Environment: Debian
Problem Description: I'm currently using Debian sarge with backported kernel
2.6.14-2.deb from backports.org. The machine is a dual P3 Epox MB.

After running halt and reaching "power off" (because smp is not apm able) and
using nopam in the append-line for the kernel, I got follwing error.

Because I'm not able to make a dump or screenshot with the PC of course, I
will send you a real "screenshot" from my digicam. I hope, that it will help
you in futher
development of SMP kernel source anf give you some hints. If it is not
helpfull, simply delete.

Steps to reproduce: everytime System reaches HALT
