Description Imran Haider 2005-11-27 17:34:26 UTC
Most recent kernel where this bug did not occur:
Distribution: Gentoo
Hardware Environment: Philips SAA7133 (kworld) tv-tuner
Software Environment: TV-time
Problem Description:

the file "/usr/src/linux/drivers/media/video/saa7134/saa7134-cards.c" around
line 494 has the section for s-video and composite1 (for KWorld/KuroutoShikou
SAA7130-TVPCI section).

.amux for s-video & composite1 should be set to LINE2 in order to make sound
work. Otherwise the sound is only leaked through the other channels and comes
out horribly in the speakers.

Steps to reproduce:
start up TVtime and watch the composite1 channel with a SAA7133 tv-tuner

please provide us a patch with your proposed changes to video4linux-list@redhat.com
Comment 2 Mauro Carvalho Chehab 2006-02-05 03:23:14 UTC
Some newer variants of Kworld device were included at v4l-dvb Mercurial tree.
Please try with the newer code, available at http://linuxtv.org. After testing,
please post the results. Please post also the results for lspci -vn

There were several improvements on sound processing at saa7134. Can you check
the new driver? It is available at http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb

Please reopen this bug if it's still present in kernel 2.6.20-rc5.
