Description Klaus S. Madsen 2005-08-03 00:01:06 UTC
Distribution: Gentoo
Hardware Environment: Compaq Armada M700
Problem Description:

The directory /proc/acpi/button no longer exists i 2.6.13-rc5. This is a
problem, as it complicates acpi-scripts which suspend the laptop when the lid
is closed (it is very nice to know of the button event you receive is because
the lid is closed or opened).

Reverting the patch at
http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=bd4698dad3023ae137b366c736e29ca6eaf3b9f7
solves the problem, but that patch also contains a bug-fix.
