Distribution: Fedora Core 3
Hardware Environment: Acer Aspire 3023 WLMi Notebook
Software Environment: xorg-x11 / gnome

The battery indicator in GNOME didn't show anything, so I got this output and it

charging state: discharging
present rate: unknown
remaining capacity: unknown
present voltage: unknown

Is the DSDT table in your bios correct?
I had similar problems with my travelmate 3000.
After fixing the broken dsdt table it works now.

I used the itenl compiler and used some dsdt from
the same manufactur (same bug :)) to fix it

If windows can work with the original DSDT, it is unreasonable to override DSDT.
So, could you post what's your fix against original DSDT?

still an issue with 2.6.13-rc6?
