Distribution: Mandrake linux 10.2    
      
Hardware Environment: laptop fujitsu-siemens amilo 1630-3702 (athlon 64 3700+   
socket 754)      
   
Software Environment: KDE    
      
Problem Description:        
     
The problem is with cpufreq and Mandrake 10.2 32 bits with the kernel   
2.6.11-6-mdk :     
cpufreq fails to stop/unload and the computer won't shutdown (nor reboot).     
     
But when the computer runs, it seems to be OK.     
     
I've tried the mandrake 10.2 64 bits version, and there is the same problem.     
The problem is with kernel-2.6.11-6-mdk and kernel-2.6.11-6-mdk-smp too.     
     
Without cpufreq and acpi, it is OK, but it works only 800 Mhz !!   
   
Steps to reproduce:        
Nothing particular : every time I shutdwon or reboot        
     
Help please !

Could you please check if stock kernel from www.kernel.org works the same way?

There was no answer to the question whether it also happens in vanilla
ftp.kernel.org kernels.

Please reopen this bug if the problem is present in a vanilla 2.6.13-rc3
ftp.kernel.org kernel.
