Description Rafael 2005-02-21 05:50:21 UTC
Distribution:  Debian (With vanilla kernel)
Hardware Environment: IBM ThinkCentre 8188-LPF
Problem Description: After about 2 hours the computer becomes slow and eventually
halts. The monitor blinks just before the halt.
Steps to reproduce: Just live the computer on.

I have tracked the problem to the line
acpi_ut_evaluate_object(link->handle, "_DIS", 0, NULL);
in drivers/acpi/pci_link.c.
Commenting the line solves the problem in kernel 2.6[8-10].
