Description Christoph Ostarek 2004-10-29 03:56:49 UTC
Distribution: Debian
Hardware Environment: Gericom Notebook
Software Environment:
Problem Description: There isn't any sound, that comes out since kernel version
2.6.8.1. 2.6.7 works perfectly.
Because I compile my kernel myself, I tested also kanotix with a 2.6.8.1-kernel,
and it didn't work to. Normal I use the modul i810_audio.
Alsa didn't work no time.

Steps to reproduce:
Comment 1 Christoph Ostarek 2004-10-29 04:28:30 UTC
for sound I use the modules i810_audio and ac97_codec
Comment 2 maximilian attems 2004-11-03 17:04:15 UTC
please try out if newer 2.6.9 works?

if not post
* dmesg working
* dmesg not working kernel
thanks

Christoph: what's the status of this bug? Also could you please post the output
of lspci? Thanks. Also "cat /proc/asound/version".
Comment 5 Christoph Ostarek 2006-08-08 09:39:08 UTC
The bug isn't a bug. Choose the trident-driver instead and it works (at least 2.
17.7).
