Distribution: Mandrake 10.1
Hardware Environment: Asus A7N8X deluxe, nvidia nforce2, silicon sata controler
Software Environment:
Problem Description: boot stops after sata disk detection, message "Disabling
IRQ #11". 

Mandrake 10.1 (use libata module)
idem with 2.6.9-rc3

sata disks work if compiling kernek with "deprecated" IDE driver.

Steps to reproduce:

I as well have this problem tried several distros
freeze during hardware detection
usually gives message disabling irq#11
noapic commands do not work
