Description David Johnson 2004-04-15 13:05:07 UTC
Distribution: Debian Testing
Hardware Environment: DEC Alphastation 255/300 (Avanti CPU)
Software Environment: gcc 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401)
Problem Description:

Upon booting, the driver hangs the system when it should be looking for devices.
I am unable to test whether this is Alpha-specific or not.

2.4.24 does not have this problem; I haven't had time to test 2.4.25 yet.

I also experience this bug with 2.6.5 (new driver) but I think this is a known
problem on 2.6?

I'll try to provide whatever information is needed.

After asking around on LKML, this seems to be an Alpha specific issue.
Comment 4 David Johnson 2004-10-26 06:27:00 UTC
This seems to be fixed in newer kernels; closing this bug.
