Description John Hughes 2018-01-23 15:49:25 UTC
I have a system with one displayport and two monitors connected via a displayport hub.

All worked well with kernel 4.9.30, but when I upgraded to 4.9.65 the displays would often go black for a second or two. This seems to happen when typing into a gnome-terminal window.

The problem was first seen with kernels from Debian stretch, but has been seen when using kernels compiled from vanilla.

This is Debian bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=886746

I'm currently building a more recent kernel to see if the bug still exists and will try bisecting if it does.

Well it seems that the bug is fixed in 4.9.77 so I'm not going to bother bisecting.

If anyone needs more information or testing please contact me by mail.
