Description Alex Zhavnerchik 2010-01-04 20:21:20 UTC
When I compiled kernel with building nouveau DRI/DRM driver - it failed on boot, screen flickered after loading kernel and don't boot any more.

When driver compiled as module all works well. In case if I don't include this module into initrd, if module is in initrd I have same situation as when driver compiled into kernel.

My GPU:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Quadro NVS 140M (rev a1)

Kernel - vanila from kernel.org

Distribution Debian sid.

Sadly I don't have any log or dmesg.

Not a bug, just module just needed firmware which was unavailable (not included into initrd and not compiled into the kernel)
