Description James D Freels 2003-10-04 13:52:36 UTC
Distribution:Debian/Sid
Hardware Environment: ens1371
Software Environment: alsa versys oss
Problem Description:

Between 2.6.0-test5 and 2.6.0-test6, the ens-1371 sound driver was no longer
available in the alsa-portion of the sound configuration. I was able to work
around the problem by enabling the oss ens1371 driver.

Steps to reproduce: ens-1371 is available from the separate alsa packages, but
it is not available (that I could find) in the present kernel configuration.

You need to enable CONFIG_GAMEPORT for the configuration option to become
available. It's already fixed in ALSA CVS. Marking this bug as a duplicate, as
I'm tracking the situation in bug 1309
