I got this error repetead randomly during time.

I think it's fixed (at least for me) by EC rewrite in .32-rc3.

I think it should be reopened!
I have a sony vaio VGN-AW21Z, and having same issues with 2.6.33!

When this happens, battery info is set to 9% when is not a real value (because batt is fully charged).

And, this happens after some time of being up, not from the beginning (I don't know why).
In my case, at least:

I have the same problem on Sony Vaio VGN-NS50B_L. Kernel 2.6.35. When this happened, my computer is running on battery. After that stopped working the brightness of backlight and acpi keys. The output of dmesg and acpidump attached above
