does the problem still exist in the latest git kernel?
Same problem on Dell Studio 1555 running 2.6.31-rc5. Attaching dmesg and acpidump.

I think it's fixed (at least for me) by EC rewrite in .32-rc3.

I think it should be reopened! I have a sony vaio VGN-AW21Z, and having same issues with 2.6.33! When this happens, battery info is set to 9% when is not a real value (because batt is fully charged). And, this happens after some time of being up, not from the beginning (I don't know why). In my case, at least: [ 1169.696050] ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.BAT0._BST] (Node f701a930), AE_TIME (...) (...) [ 7094.580164] ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.BAT0._BST] (Node f701a930), AE_TIME
Could you please try if 2.6.34-rc... behaves better?
Sorry for the delay in answering. I can still reproduce (it still happens :( ) with 2.6.34 :(
