Problem Description:
Sometimes when I execute a suspend to ram the system freezes completely.

Steps to reproduce:
Comment 1 Martin Bammer 2009-03-08 04:09:39 UTC
Created attachment 20451 [details]
dmesg output
Comment 2 Martin Bammer 2009-03-08 04:11:49 UTC
The dmesg-output above is from a normal booted system. The oops is not visible in this attachment :-(
Comment 3 Martin Bammer 2009-03-08 04:14:07 UTC
Created attachment 20452 [details]
Part of the kernel oops.
Comment 4 ykzhao 2009-03-08 19:53:57 UTC
Hi, Martin
From the problem description it can work well on the 2.6.27.18 kernel but it fails on the 2.6.28.7. It seems that this is a regression.
Will you please use git-bisect to identify the commit which causes the regression?
    Thanks.
Comment 5 Shaohua 2009-03-10 23:17:59 UTC
how about boot option 'nohz=off'
Comment 6 Zhang Rui 2009-03-23 00:56:23 UTC
ping Martin.
Comment 7 Martin Bammer 2009-03-23 09:45:57 UTC
Sorry for the late response. I've tested now the latest stable kernel
2.6.28.8. Did several suspend to ram/resume cycles. Also one suspend to
disk. The kernel crashes seem to be gone now. I think the bug can be
closed :-)
