Earliest failing kernel version: 2.6.29-rc4

Problem Description:
After booting, my system locks up right as X begins to load.  My system worked fine with 2.6.29-rc3. 
I did a git bisect and this is the bad commit:
86adf8adfcb3d3f4b6c30aeb40da480da02de1d1

Steps to reproduce:
Boot machine with kernel 2.6.29-rc4

I just tried the latest git version:
2.6.29-rc4-00810-g4c098bc

This bug appears to be fixed.
