Latest working kernel version: 2.6.23
Earliest failing kernel version: 2.6.24, but 2.6.20 also failed
Distribution: Debian 
Hardware Environment: Apple MacMini G4
Software Environment: Debian GN/Linux unstable - sid

Problem Description: 
When I try to boot the kernel 2.6.26-1-powerpc from the debian distribution,
it is displaying a message "PMU not responding (!ACK)" 10 seconds after loading the eeprom module and it stops working.

A code review in the sources of 2.6.28 shows that this message is issued by code in drivers/macintosh/via-pmu.c line 1131 ffs.

Steps to reproduce:
Just boot my (maybe other) mac mini G4 with that debian kernel image.
