Problem Description: At boot, the concole is unreadable. All lines are corrupted with some overwrite.

Steps to reproduce: boot the system

I've rebuilt 2.6.28-rc7-git7 and 2.6.28-rc7-git8 with the same config file.
The problems always occurs with git8 and never with git7

Reversions done in 2.6.28-rc8-git1 fixe the problem for me.
