Description Casual J Programmer 2008-06-10 03:55:18 UTC
Latest working kernel version: none
Earliest failing kernel version: all
Distribution: openSUSE / All
Hardware Environment: x86 Lucent Agere ORiNOCO wireless card
Software Environment: openSUSE / GNOME
Problem Description: The orinoco_cs driver is not WPA capable.

As it appears Agere did offer one one their website, alas it only did compile with very old kernels.

Now some folks at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=304217&page=10 fixed that. I suggest either the existing orinoco_cs is fixed or else the WPA capable one is added.

Steps to reproduce: not applicable
Comment 1 kilroyd 2008-08-10 02:23:01 UTC
Patches to enable WPA for orinoco based cards have been posted to linux-wireless (and orinoco-devel).
