Software Environment: ipw2200 driver + wpa_supplicant + WPA-PSK
Problem Description:

Hello,

after move to new router D-link DVG-G1402s wpa_supplicant is unable to associate with router. Router setup is fine, also wpa_supplicant's configuration file is fine. It works with iwl4965 driver.

Will attach output of wpa_supplicant with ipw2200 and iwl4965 driver.

Steps to reproduce:

Is this still happening? What version of wpa_supplicant are you using?
Comment 4 Cijoml Cijomlovic Cijomlov 2008-08-25 13:29:54 UTC
Hi there, yes it is still valid. I tried all versions of wpa_supplicant and also latest development, but all behaves same. It leads me to kernel problem, because all of them works with ipw2200 driver
Comment 5 Zhu Yi 2008-08-25 20:12:44 UTC
Please attach your wpa_supplicant.conf and dmesg of ipw2200. BTW, does ipw2200 work with the AP if you configure it to open mode?
Comment 6 Cijoml Cijomlovic Cijomlov 2008-08-30 22:52:40 UTC
yes it works in open mode
Comment 7 John W. Linville 2008-09-30 07:10:26 UTC
Cijoml, please attach your wpa_supplicant.conf.

network={
        ssid="myESSID"
        key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
        proto=RSN
        pairwise=TKIP
        group=TKIP
        psk="myverysecretpassword"
}
Comment 9 Zhu Yi 2008-10-05 23:24:51 UTC
Please attach the dmesg for ipw2200. Looks like it fails to associate for some reason.
Comment 10 Cijoml Cijomlovic Cijomlov 2008-10-06 00:39:58 UTC
dmesg shows normal output - I can associate with other Cisco AP without any problem. Seems like driver problem related just and only to that AP.
Comment 11 John W. Linville 2009-03-02 10:03:02 UTC
I'm suspicious of any problem specific to one AP -- could be any number of configuration issues, userland, etc. Do you continue to experience this problem?
Comment 12 Cijoml Cijomlovic Cijomlov 2009-03-03 00:10:54 UTC
yes - it is not configuration specific - if I change card it works with same config/kernel etc...
Comment 13 John W. Linville 2009-03-03 06:19:55 UTC
Does it work any better if you use CCMP instead?

No response from reporter. Is this bug still open?
Comment 15 Cijoml Cijomlovic Cijomlov 2009-05-29 09:06:18 UTC
hi there,

I don't know I've sold the device to my friend with Windows with which it works. I could ask him to lend me the device to test.
