Dell Optiplex GX240, system will not power-off on halt
known to occur versions: 2.6.19-2.6.22 (untested for any other version)

Steps to reproduce:
kernel compiled with
 * Processor family (Pentium-4/Celeron(P4-based)/Pentium-4 M/old...
 * SMT (Hyperthreading) scheduler support
 * ACPI Support
Shutdown command executed: /sbin/shutdown -h -t 30 1 "yo the computers shuting down"
OR
/sbin/shutdown -h -P -t 30 1 "yo the computers shuting down"

Hmm, the patch in http://howto.wikia.com/wiki/Howto_get_the_Linux_kernel_to_properly_power_down_the_Dell_Optiplex_GX240_using_ACPI is already merged in the upstream kernel.
Please try the latest kernel release.
