Another addition: ACPI events such as closig the laptop lid ot hitting Fn+VolumeUp also lead to complete freeze. Another addition: I chose component: "power-processor" arbitrarily, in fact it applies to ac, battery, button, processor, and thermal as well. The only exception being fan, which loads fine.
