config file of last working kernel
config file of last working kernel (2.6.19.3)
Sorry that I included the other one in the main body, it should have been an
attachment too.
I now think that this is not a real kernel bug. I think that it is a Mandriva firewall configuration problem. Mandriva 2008 beta uses kernel 2.6.22 and it works. Mandriva 2007 expects the module ipt_IFWLOG controlled by the configuration file variable CONFIG_IP_NF_TARGET_IFWLGO to exist. It is not an option in the newer kernel. Mandriva 2007 with kernel 2.6.22 gives this error in /var/log/prcsys.log : : Validating /etc/shorewall/tcclasses... Shorewall configuration compiled to /var/lib/shorewall/.start Processing /etc/shorewall/params ... Starting Shorewall.... Initializing... Processing /etc/shorewall/init ... Clearing Traffic Control/QOS Deleting user chains... iptables: Unknown error 4294967295 ERROR: Command "/sbin/iptables -A FORWARD -m state --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j A Processing /etc/shorewall/stop ... iptables v1.3.5: Couldn't load target `Ifw':/lib/iptables/libipt_Ifw.so: cannot open s Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information. iptables: No chain/target/match by that name iptables: No chain/target/match by that name ipset v2.2.9: Error from kernel: Protocol not available ipset v2.2.9: Error from kernel: Protocol not available iptables: Unknown error 4294967295 iptables: Unknown error 4294967295 Processing /etc/shorewall/stopped ... /sbin/shorewall: line 524: 4159 Terminated Peter, could you perhaps check if this should be left in kernel bugzilla? if it`s mandriva only and doesn`t happen in vanilla, then maybe it`s not the right place to keep it here... |
