I'm having trouble finding acpidump... is it part of a larger package of tools?
Comment 4 Luming Yu 2006-08-01 08:48:14 UTC
please take a look at acpi.sf.net

ACPI Exception (acpi_bus-0071): AE_NOT_FOUND, No context for object [f7c0ad88]
[20060707]

is already fixed.
Do you have a question about the stack traces in your dmesg?

(BTW. acpidump can be found in the latest pmtools here:
http://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/lenb/acpi/utils/)
Comment 6 George Nychis 2006-08-02 19:38:31 UTC
no question about it, overall my goal is to get my docking station working on my
thinkpad x60s

i don't see this bug reported anywhere else, do you know what kernel
version/patchset it was fixed in?

i'll try 2.6.18-rc3-git2

new dmesg output

this is my dmesg output from 2.6.18-rc3-git2, which still seems to have the
same error

acpidump output

acpidump output taken at the same time as the new dmesg output

Comment 10 Zhang Rui 2006-10-17 02:37:56 UTC
Does the laptop work normally after these exceptions?
Could you please help me do the test?
#dmesg -c
#echo 0x0000841f > /proc/acpi/debug_level
insert the laptop into dock
#demsg
and then attach the dmesg output? :)
Comment 11 Zhang Rui 2007-09-28 18:40:29 UTC
Hi, George,
Does the problem still exist in the latest kernel release like 2.6.22?
Comment 12 Fu Michael 2007-10-29 18:20:44 UTC
mark bug as unreproducible due to no response from bug reporter. if reopen, please come with needed data. thanks.

I think its OK to close this, I really don't have the same setup anymore. I run Ubuntu now and the dock does not cause this exception for me anymore... it works just fine. Thanks for the help!
