what is the kernel version? 2.6.16.16 Is it same with http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5989 ? No. The first sleep does not work. Nothing I have done gets the machine going again except restarting. I find nothing in the logs of the sleep period. The only difference I can detect that contrasts this state with being off is that the 'sleep' LED is on. Is this just a video resume issue? Does MS windows works on this box? It is not just a video resume issue. The lock keys don't change the LED status nor does it respond to keyboard input in any way I can detect. It is about as off as my computer gets, except the 'sleep' LED is illuminated instead. I have never run Microsoft's Windoze program on this computer. I don't have a copy of it. After the machine is suspended and the sleep LED is illuminated (on most machines it blinks)... Does opening and closing the lid cause any change? Does pressing the power button cause any change? Please reopen this bug if: - it is still present in kernel 2.6.19-rc6 and - you can prvide the requested information. |
