Some brand of stick works fine. but the others not working like below.(e.g.
Read capacity failed log... )
However all of them works fine under windows

I realized that other quys have the same experience to me.

Is there any good way to improve this symption without switching to Kernel 2.6.x

Do I have to modify some code of source files related to usb core module ?

I hope to hear good solution from you.

One thing to be fixed is that "unable to get device descriptor" log shows up

I'm sorry, but this database is for 2.6 bugs only, 2.4 isn't really supported
anymore, except by distros.

And as I see you are using a distro, I suggest you contact them for support
(especially as mvista is known for shipping very patched up kernels.)

Good luck.
