Could you please try 2.6.16-rc1-mm2 release or the latest kernel (if it will be available)? As a workaround for this bug, you can boot the kernel adding the following to the kernel image section of the lilo.conf file: append="acpi_os_name=WWWWWXXXXXYYYYYZZZZZ noapictimer ec_burst=1" The string WWWWWXXXXXYYYYYZZZZZ is only used to check for a os name that is 20 caracters long, and i think it is only used to theck if the lenght is equal to the lenght of "Microsoft Windows XX". Worked on kernel 2.6.14.5, i think it works also on newer kernels. Fine! But I am interested in results on the latest kernels (2.6.16-rc2 - kernel available at the moment, for example). There are some changes that are connected with your problem. When the error messages disappear, we will start the investigation of your battery problems.
