Priority: P2

Description Marecandja 2004-05-31 10:37:42 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core 2
Hardware Environment: MB builtin Parallel port, HP LaserJet 6L

Problem Description:

When printing a document (a web page for instance), I get garbled letters on the
printed paper.

Booting with a different kernel not including the FIFO/DMA option solves the
problem.

Does it still happens with recent kernels?
Comment 2 Adrian Bunk 2007-02-04 14:38:14 UTC
Please reopen this bug if it's still present with kernel 2.6.20.

Hello, I have tested two POS printers - both from STAR company - through parallel port under 3.2.0 and printing is still with problems. I have submitted a bug in Launchpad where you can find useful information regarding this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/raring/+source/linux/+bug/339752
