I'm running Debian Sid, with Xorg 1.6.3 and Intel driver 2.8.0. With modeset enabled, I get fuzzy vertical lines instead of the GDM login screen. Without modeset, I get a blank screen.

It's working in 2.6.30.4, with or without KMS.

Fixed in 2.6.31-rc8.
